Justin Hines completed freshman year at University of Louisville and joined Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, in Louisville, Kentucky.
In 2008, Justin defended the Championship to go on to become a 2-time Lake Erie Speedway Champion in the
Legends class. While Justin will go for his 3rd consecutive championship in 2009, this may be his last year racing as he plans to concentrate on his college career.
In 2006, Justin’s earned “Rookie of the Year” honors in his first season in the Legends car while 2007 began a string dominating performances. He far exceeded his expectations and goals, by
not only winning the Lake Erie Speedway Championship but earning numerous other
awards including, but not limited to, PA State Pro Legends Champion, Hard
Charger and Outstanding Performances.
Before moving up to the Legends class, 2005 marked the end of his Bandolero career and was Justin's
third year of racing. He was runner up in the INEX National Young Gun Point
Standings, won the K.O.I.L Tour Bandolero Championship, ranked 1st in the state
of Pennsylvania, and finished 3rd in Points at LES.
In 2004, he finished 3rd in the overall point standings for the Bandolero
Division, up from his rookie season of 2003 where he finished 5th.
In addition to racing, Justin participated on the McDowell
Track Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field team. His events were the 55 meter
dash, 200 meter dash 400 meter dash, 4x200 meter relay, 4x400 meter relay and
Long Jump. He also used to be an active member of the American Taekwondo
Association. Justin attained his 3rd degree Black Belt and is a former State
Champion in Sparring and Weapons competition.
