At the 2008 Lake Erie Speedway Awards Banquet, Justin took home the Career Concepts Legends Championship for the second straight year. During his award speech, Justin announced that he will be back racing next year at LES. Justin also won the following awards:

Justin concluded the season on Saturday, September 6th winning the heat and the feature and took home the 2008 Championship. The amazing season consisted of 8-Feature Wins and only one finish outside of the top-5!

With double features in the Legends class at LES, Justin continues a great season. Justin racked up a 1st and 2nd in the feature events.

Races were canceled Saturday Night as LES hosted Nextel Cup drivers Rusty Wallace, Clint Bowyer, Greg Biffle, Dave Blaney, and Joey Logano.

Justin is back in action with the #8 car after a week of repairs in NC. Justin took 2nd place in the feature and John Myers bounced back from last weeks mishap in the heat race and finished 4th.

Justin surrenders his undefeated status due to mechanical failure and finishes 17th. During the heat race, Hines had a mechanical failure on his #8 Legend car. John Myers in the Old Spice #39 let Justin borrow his car for the heat race. Justin was put into the wall on the last lap of the heat race. For the feature, Justin took the green in his own car and then after the first lap pulled it in the infield. Sunday morning the Hines left for North Carolina and after a very long and expensive week returned to Erie.

The Hines would like to thank Kyle Beattie Racing for graciously letting them use their shop to repair and work on the car that week in Charlotte!

The Career Concepts Legends took the track for their forty-lap regional qualifier. Would Justin Hines continue his winning streak with six straight wins? With nineteen cars behind him, #8 Hines took the pole. With only two cautions in the race, Hines was able to lead most of the race until the end when #69 Jimmy Hansen from Cedar Lake, IN, let Hines know he was there. With a back and forth battle between Hines and Hansen it came down to a photo finish, with Hines winning by just inches of his bumper. Hanson took second, with #17 Chris Bailey Jr. taking third. So for one more week Justin Hines will hold on to his amazing win streak. Justin won by .007 seconds.

Justin Hines captures his 8th feature win of the year and the LES Championship Saturday night. The feature event line-up was decided on the rained-out Championship Night from the 8th where Justin won his heat race. Justin started 8th in the 25 lap event. By lap 3 he was already in 3rd and had started to work the second place car. Charging around the 2nd place car, he set his sights on the leader. With a short battle for the lead, Justin made the pass and never looked back. He won the 25 lap feature which was his 8th feature win of the year at Lake Erie Speedway. He celebrated both his feature win and championship in victory lane.

On Saturday night, Justin won his heat race. He started 10th in the feature. As he worked his way to the front he was spun in turns 1 and 2 which took him to the rear for the restart. He worked his way back up through the field and ended up with a 3rd place finish. Next week is the final points race at Lake Erie Speedway.

With the Legend cars running their feature only, Justin was to start 10th, but due to a scratch the row moved up and he began the race in 8th place. Justin won the feature event making it his 7th trip to victory lane this season. There are 2 points races left at LES - Sept 1st and 8th.

Justin started the night off with a heat win at Lake Erie Speedway. Starting 12th in the feature, he worked his way up to 3rd place until a late race caution. Upon restart, Justin had engine problems but was able to finish the car in 4th place. Also, during the feature race, Justin posted a lap-time of 17.36 on the 3/8 mile track. This may be one of the fastest laps Lake Erie Speedway has ever seen.

After 2 weeks off the Legends finally ran again at LES. Justin started 5th in his heat race and finished 1st. He was supposed to start 10th in the feature, but due to a scratch, the outside line moved up one spot and he started outside of row 4. Justin quickly moved to the front and won his 6th feature of the year at LES

Justin wins 40-Lap Legends race that was held at Lake Erie Speedway. There were no heat races due to the MAARA race so the drivers pulled pills. Due to a good pill draw Justin started on the outside pole and by lap 2 was in the lead. He won the feature making it his 4th consecutive victory and 5th win of the season.

Justin ran great again Saturday night. It was the 35 lap race. He won his heat race. He started the feature 11th and past Larry Occhibone in the #9 Legends car on the last lap to win the race.

Justin won his heat and feature race on his birthday! Starting 12th in the feature, he worked his way up to take the lead by lap 21 in route to the 30 lap feature win. This was his 3rd feature win. In addition to the LES feature winner trophy, he was awarded a CLUB NIGHT Feature Winner plaque from the the Twin-State Auto Racing Club.

Starting 9th in the feature, Justin took the lead on lap 6 and won the feature. He also did his signature celebration by climbing the fence. We will be racing again this Saturday, June 30th at LES.

Justin won his heat race Saturday night. He started in 7th spot. Then with the invert, he started the feature in 11th. By lap 18 he was in 1st place and won his 1st Legends Feature at LES. To celebrate his victory rather than take a victory lap, he chose to climb the fence.
